Determination of the critical period of arvenses competition for the species Geoffroea inermis W. Wright. in the nursery Cuyaguateje, Guane, Pinar del Río

Abstract
In the period 2011-2012 an experiment was executed in the production nursery "Cuyaguateje", of the Integral Forest Company Macurije, County Pinar del Río, with the species Geoffroea inermis W. Wright, taken place in polyethylene containers, with the objective of determining the critical period of competition of the arvenses in the studied forest species. Four treatments were used with different periods of it weeds. He was proven that during the first two months he should not be carried out any type of it weeds with the objective of to increase the rhythms of growth of the postures and to diminish the production costs, likewise was identified the arvenses that were presented during the experiment, they were: Digitaria sanguinalis, Eleusine indicates, Cyperus rotundus and Mimosa pudica.
